Like Father Like Son...and Daughter

One of the first weekends after Knox was born, I thought it would be fun to take the kids to a Home Depot workshop. Dean brought home a flyer from one of his Home Depot runs that he took with the kids, and Aya had been reminding me ever since. Since Dean was working, which is no surprise every weekend, I took Mark along to help me. I was expecting to be there for the full three hours, or at least two but it literally took us 25 minutes to finish all three of their projects. Two hours of driving for 25 minutes! But at least the kids had fun for those 25 minutes and we got to get them out of the house for a bit:)

Not quite sure how smart it was to let Justus hold one of these hammers. He sure LOVES them though! It's gotta be his all time favorite toy. Well...usually they are plastic or wood, so this day was a treat for him!

Kash was excited to build this tool box, but not quite able to reach the table enough to hammer in the nails.

Watch out! Get too close and he'd get your fingers! I let him go at it on the concrete for just a few seconds. Luckily his tool box didn't break:) I was a little nervous he'd hurt himself so his happiness was short lived.

Aya suprisingly was the only one who was interested in completing this mini project from start to finish. Kash got frustrated pretty quickly and had no patience hammering in the nails. But I started the nails for her and she hammered them in all by herself!

With the help of uncle Marky, Kash was able to finish his tool box and do his favorite part, which was applying the stickers.

The three munchkins in their super cute aprons. A successful saturday outing I'd say!
