Sad to see them go:(

Ever since we moved into our home back in 2006 we've been friends with the Christensens. We used to do FHE's with their family as well as a few others every week and I even lured Vicki into helping me with the books when I worked with EC. We were co-workers, walking buddies, and even visiting teaching companions! A month ago She broke the news to me that she and her family will be moving to Boston! They have such exciting things ahead of them and I know they will find success wherever they go. She's been a great friend and I will really miss her!

Aya and her son Braedon are only one month apart and practically grew up together. They were already good friends but when they started going to Bright Beginnings together, they were inseperable. I know she doesn't quite understand that she won't see him for a very long time, but she was sad to see him go. They got to stay with us for their last weekend before leaving the island so they had lots of fun playing.

Our goofy kids! Kashus, Braedon, Aya and Jace.

Aya and Braedon. Such good pals!!

Summer is officially over!

School is back in session and now the craziness begins! My schedule went from pretty much no routine to a crazy schedule where I feel like I don't even have minute to relax before heading off to the next item on my agenda. I guess it's my fault for signing the kids up for so many things and trying to squeeze so many things in my schedule. But the good thing is I have two of four in school now so only Justus and Knox are left at home with me. Despite all the craziness and constantly feeling like we are on the go, it's nice to have a schedule once again!

Kashus started Bright Beginnings Preschool. He was so excited to start school! He was able to start preschool already knowing a few friends in his class which made it all the more easier to get into the swing of things. Here is a pic of him and his good friend Vanessa. They are too cute!

Aya is now a Kindergartener! So crazy how fast time flies! She is growing up so fast! She is going to Hauula Elementary just down the road from us which is so convenient. She loves her teacher Miss Kristen and is loving all the new experiences she has at school.

Baby Knox's Blessing

Baby Knox was blessed on June 5, 2011.

Me and my sisters and their babies.

They are each about 2 months apart from each other. So fun to have them so close in age!

Dean was teaching our class so we took pictures without him.

(This is Kashus's typical grumpy face these days)

I am so grateful to have so much family here in Hawaii. The kids LOVE to see their cousins and it is so nice to be able to get together, especially on special occasions such as this!

Like Father Like Son...and Daughter

One of the first weekends after Knox was born, I thought it would be fun to take the kids to a Home Depot workshop. Dean brought home a flyer from one of his Home Depot runs that he took with the kids, and Aya had been reminding me ever since. Since Dean was working, which is no surprise every weekend, I took Mark along to help me. I was expecting to be there for the full three hours, or at least two but it literally took us 25 minutes to finish all three of their projects. Two hours of driving for 25 minutes! But at least the kids had fun for those 25 minutes and we got to get them out of the house for a bit:)

Not quite sure how smart it was to let Justus hold one of these hammers. He sure LOVES them though! It's gotta be his all time favorite toy. Well...usually they are plastic or wood, so this day was a treat for him!

Kash was excited to build this tool box, but not quite able to reach the table enough to hammer in the nails.

Watch out! Get too close and he'd get your fingers! I let him go at it on the concrete for just a few seconds. Luckily his tool box didn't break:) I was a little nervous he'd hurt himself so his happiness was short lived.

Aya suprisingly was the only one who was interested in completing this mini project from start to finish. Kash got frustrated pretty quickly and had no patience hammering in the nails. But I started the nails for her and she hammered them in all by herself!

With the help of uncle Marky, Kash was able to finish his tool box and do his favorite part, which was applying the stickers.

The three munchkins in their super cute aprons. A successful saturday outing I'd say!
