For Aya's 5th birthday this year she received... a new little brother!
Knox Mark Daley arrived 4 days early at 10:51 PM on May 27th 2011
He was my lightest boy weighing 8.02 lbs. and 20.5 inches long.
His middle name comes from this guy.

He's been living with us for the past 5 months working with Dean and saving for his mission. He's been a huge help with the kids and we love having him around.
BREAK DOWN OF EVENTS....
I began having contractions around 6 am on the morning of May 27th. It was Aya's birthday and we had planned to go to the water park with a few friends to celebrate her b-day. I pretty much knew that baby was gonna come that day from the intensity of the contractions...I just didn't know when. I felt bad canceling our plans for the day but I really didn't want to go into labor at the water park, so we decided to head down to my sister Yumi's house since the hospital is only a few minutes away from there. We didn't get to go on water slides but we did get into our bathing suits and let the kids swim in my sister's pool at her condos.Yes, I'm HUGE and ready to pop. I never take preggo pictures but thought I'd document at least one pic of my huge self the day I gave birth:)

After hanging out at the pool for little while my contractions got pretty strong so we headed back inside for another couple hours, and then headed for the hospital around 6:30pm. I was dialated to a 5 when I got there so I was admitted, we waited around, listened to music, anxiously waiting for Knox to come. Around 9:30ish my contractions were getting REALLY painful. Finally at 10:50 I asked the nurse to check me cause I was getting anxious to see how I was progressing. Just as she was getting ready to, I felt the urge to push. Then one minute later, after 3-4 pushes, Knox was here! The doctor barely made it in time.
SO glad it's over:)

Thank goodness for Obachan! She came to help out with the kids for a week. Wish she could have stayed longer!!

He is perfect, Elika and Dean! Congrats on Knox's arrival! You look amazing, and I love that photo of you in your swimsuit. You still look awesome, even at 9 months! Congrats!

Sad you had to change your plans, but glad everything turned out so great! I'm sure Aya liked her present. I can't believe you have 4 kids younger than my oldest! WOW...you are superwoman to do that! Guess you guys are halfway to your 8 that Dean wanted! The question is....are you ready for 4 more? LOL!

Wow 4! Can't believe how quickly things change. seems like yesterday we were all in tva together:) well maybe a little longer than yesterday. Congrats. Your family is adorable!
