The ward put together a trunk-or-treat party a couple nights before Halloween, which the kids loved! What's not to love? There was candy, costumes, food, and great company! The best part was we only had to do a quick loop around the parking lot and all the trick-or-treating was done!
They definately were exhausted afterwards though.
Sorry Justus...no costume for you this year. Just a recycled onsie that Kash wore last year.
This year we decided to get together at my sister's house in Waikiki and try trick-or-treating out there. We ended up having to walk a ways because apparently no one in her neighborhood gets trick-or-treaters on Halloween. One of the first houses we went to got creative and gave us a box of animal crackers and a package of fig newtons to share. Another guy felt so bad he didn't have anything to give us that he went to the store after we left his house and bought a bunch of candy and drove around looking for us to give it to us.
First house...no luck but still looking hopeful!
Venturing off down the road in search for some candy!
Finally some people with candy!
This was the nice guy that drove around looking for us. He stopped by on the side of the rode after he found us to off load all the candy he bought for us.
All in all it was a successful evening. We found the right street to go trick-or-treating on after asking some kids where the hot spots were, and best of all...the kids got to spend some quality time with their cousins.
